Leaps and Bounds for Indoor Track Athletes in NYC

Members of Gilman's indoor track team competed at the Nike Indoor National Championships in New York City over the weekend of March 9.

The performance by Cam Brown '25 in the Championship Long Jump was impressive: With a leap of 23-2, he finished in 6th place, earning him All-American honors. This mark is currently #1 in the state of Maryland and #32 in the country.

Jemmel Green '25 finished in 6th place in the Emerging Elite 800m with a time of 1:56.77.

Austin Lansey '24 finished in 10th place in the Emerging Elite Triple Jump with a leap of 43-2.

Other qualified competitors included the Championship 4 x 800 team (Nathan Koshy '24, Ben Schatz '25, Ryan Collins '24, and Green, with Jonathan Yin '26 as an alternate), Green in the Emerging Elite Mile, and Ryan Coleman '24 and Nathaniel Frempong '24 in the Emerging Elite Triple Jump.
