Sophomores See Success at Speech and Debate

The Baltimore Catholic Forensic League 6 (BCFL) was held at Towson High School on Saturday, February 3. Elijah Noyes '26 and Jack Jaffee '26 went undefeated in JV Public Forum (pictured), and Randy Liu '26 earned a ranking of 1 in a round in Original Oratory at the last league tournament of the season.

“I'm really proud of how hard all these sophomores have worked, and it's so great to see their hard work paying off,” said their debate coach, Camila Vásquez, who also teaches Upper School math.

“I really enjoyed  meeting new people who also share a common passion for debate and immersing myself in the issue,” said Jaffee. “My favorite part of the weekend was being part of a new experience that really made me discern and evaluate my critical thinking skills.”
