Living Lands & Waters Talk Sustainability with Upper School Students

At Gilman, we continue to sustain our exciting and engaging learning environment. This week, the Upper School’s Environmental Sustainability class met via Zoom with the education team from Living Lands & Waters, a nonprofit organization that works with thousands of volunteers to clean up our nation’s rivers. The boys learned about the 10 million pounds of trash that the group has removed from our rivers and their watersheds, and they even took a virtual tour of the barge where all the action takes place. These lucky Gilman students got to see how a small crew of people, with a lot of help and hard work, can affect massive change.
