Playing Nice

Gilman and McDonogh students spent a Saturday afternoon packing food kits in support of Baltimore Hunger Project's mission. Gregory Diette ‘19, Tyler Martire ‘20, Frank McGurkin ‘19, George McGurkin ‘20, Jonah Milstone ’25, Matthew Song ‘21, and James Schloeder ’19 worked alongside 16 McDonogh students to assemble 450 weekend food packages for distribution to food insecure children in 16 Baltimore City and County area schools. This is the third "Play Nice" get together, which brings together students who are rivals on the field to feed hungry children on days when school is not in session. It was originated by a McDonogh student around the time of the 100thfootball game. “We have plans to do this again next year and would love to have more Gilman students,” said BHP Executive Director Lynne Kahn.
