Upper School Best Practices for Pandemic Related Closure
  • Students departing for Spring Break on Thursday, March 12 should take books and other work materials home with them in case the schools decide to extend the break.
  • Day one of closure (Tuesday, March 24) will be used for the students to catch up on work that was assigned prior to Spring Break.
  • On days two and three of closure (Wednesday, March 25 and Thursday, March 26), all initial instruction will be asynchronous -- students do not need to be online at the same time as their classmates.
  • After day three, teachers may hold synchronous instruction. Teachers should plan to hold those classes at regular class meeting times in the coordinate US schedule.
  • Faculty from all three schools are to be available via email between 8:00 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. during weekdays.
  • Advisors should stay in communication with advisees.
  • Each teacher should create a document with learning expectations specific to remote learning.
  • For synchronous learning activities, groups of 4-5 within each class will be created.
