Don't Miss the Water Polo Gilman Challenge, Sept. 22

Watch the Greyhounds "light it up" when they take to the pool in the Gilman Challenge water polo tournament, Saturday, September 22.

The Gilman JV and Middle School teams are scheduled to play. The challenge begins at 8 a.m.; the last game is scheduled for 4:20 p.m.

Concessions (pizza, drinks, baked goods, and snacks) and tournament t-shirts will be available for sale. All proceeds benefit the water polo program.

Tournament rules: 7 min quarters, 30 sec shot clock (no shot clock for Middle school games), 1 min between quarters to switch end and 2 mins at halftime 1 – 1 min time-out per game, if game is tied at the end of regulation, go directly into 3 man penalty shoot-out in the deep end. Teams listed first are in dark caps.

Fun Fact: Water polo was the first team sport to participate in the modern Olympic Games (1900).
