Haswell M. Franklin ’50 Gilman Duals & the 2019 Gilman Wrestling Alumni Reception

Greetings friends of Gilman Wrestling!

As Varsity Head Coach Bryn Holmes and his assistants launch the 2018-19 season, we would like to ask for your help in supporting the Haswell M. Franklin ’50 Gilman Duals, which will take place Saturday, January 26, 2019

The action starts at 12:30 p.m. in the Redmond C. S. Finney Athletic Center.  Gilman will host McDonogh, St. Benedict’s, Good Counsel, Germantown Academy, and Wyoming Seminary (currently #2 in the country).  Three rounds and nine dual meets will ensue.

We will be hosting a Wrestling Alumni Reception in conjunction with the Duals.  Please join us in the McCarthy Room, overlooking the Finney Center, between 12:30-2:30pm.  We will provide food and drinks, and generations of Gilman wrestling will reunite to reminisce and re-connect.  Click here to register

The Duals have been a highlight of the schedule since 1984, each year bringing wrestlers from a multi-state area to Gilman.  It is an exciting, challenging event that helps prepare our wrestlers for the February tournaments.  They also give alumni, parents, and friends an opportunity to reconnect with one another and the ongoing tradition of Gilman wrestling.

Please consider making a contribution of $35 or more to support the Duals. For your contribution, you will receive free admission for two to the tournament and your name will appear on the program as a patron.  Please stop by the check-in desk in the lobby of the Finney Center on tournament day.

Click here to make your contribution today.  If you prefer to contribute by check, please use the enclosed postage paid envelope and make the check payable to “Gilman Duals.”

If you are mailing in a donation and want to ensure your name is printed in the program, please email Nathaniel Badder, Director of Alumni Relations, to alert him that your donation is on the way.  Nathaniel can be reached at nbadder@gilman.edu.
