Sam King '20 and Jack Stuzin '20 have been selected for the 2020 Under Armour All-America Senior Boys South Team. The 2020 Senior All-America Game itself, originally scheduled for this summer, has been canceled due to COVID-19. Sam, an attackman, posted 31g, 17a in 2019, and will attend Harvard this fall. Jack, a defenseman with superior takeaway skills and stickwork, will attend Yale this fall. Though the 14th-annual Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Game scheduled for this summer was canceled due to COVID-19, King, Stuzin, and others were recognized in this statement by Ty Xanders, Inside Lacrosse Director of High School and Recruiting Content.
“I’ve always been tremendously honored to spearhead the boys’ selection process for the Under Armour All-America Game over the years, and the weekend itself is such an amazing culmination of so many players’ high school careers. After all that transpired this spring, which took away so many meaningful experiences and memories from high school seniors, my heart breaks for the Class of 2020. I can truly say that they have been my favorite class to cover in my 10-plus years doing this — these 44 players have represented themselves, their families, and past and future teams so unbelievably well. It’s paramount that these players are honored properly, so we at IL are elated that we’re still able to recognize the future stars of college lacrosse. To the outgoing seniors, thank you for all that you’ve done for the game during the last several years and we can’t wait to watch you going forward.”
