Young filmmakers, grades ranging from kindergarten through 12, are encouraged to submit original works to the eighth annual Daniel A. Citron Film Festival, to be held on Friday, May 11, 2018*, at the Alumni Auditorium. Submissions are due May 1, 2018.
K-12 students from independent and public schools throughout Maryland are eligible to submit films of 15 minutes or less in several categories: narrative, cinematography/drone, documentary, animation, foreign film, music video, elementary and middle school.
An overall winner, as well as winners in each category, will be chosen by a committee of Gilman students and faculty.
Submissions can be sent via physical media or uploaded digitally through YouTube or Vimeo. More information, including regulations, is available at the film festival website: gilmanfilm.com
The number of films screened at the festival will depend on the number of submissions.
