About Armond Lawson
Armond received his Bachelor's in Interactional Studies from Pepperdine University and received his Master's in Education from the University of Missouri. After spending five years as an Assistant Director of Admission at Pepperdine University, Armond began his career in independent education as the Director of Admission and later the Middle School Director at Crossroads School in St. Louis. He joined Gilman School in 2006 as a Middle School Counselor and became Assistant Head of Lower School in 2018. In 2020, Henry appointed Armond as the Head of Middle School.
Instead of moving to Middle School as the Head of School for the 2020-2021 school year, Armond Lawson will spend another year in the Lower School as interim head of that division, providing a level of continuity in the midst of so much change
