Note from School Nurse: It's Flu Season!

Flu season has arrived and though we have not seen many cases of flu-like illness in the Health Center, we want you to know that we are taking the usual precautions by cleaning surfaces and encouraging students to cover their coughs and wash their hands frequently and thoroughly.

You can also help by keeping sick children home until they are 24 hours fever-free (less than 100 degrees) without fever-reducing medication and are feeling well enough to participate in routine activities.

The following links provide helpful information about flu prevention, symptoms and care as well as when to keep your child home.  If you have questions or concerns, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Edie Meacham RN

School Nurse
