Now Available! The Social Institute's Resource Portal for Parents

Gilman School is pleased to announce our partnership with The Social Institute and #WinAtSocial, the world’s first educational game that empowers students, parents, and educators to navigate social media and technology in positive, high character ways. Through this partnership, students in grades six through twelve will participate in #WinAtSocial educational lessons throughout the school year. While students learn at school, all parents receive real-time updated tools in the Resource Portal.

About the Resource Portal

The Resource Portal is The Social Institute’s parent portal of #WinAtSocial, updated with the latest social media coaching tips in real-time. Parents can use the portal to stay ahead of trending apps, privacy settings, and necessary conversations to have about social media and technology. The #WinAtSocial Parent Playbook will also provide parents with an overview of the #WinAtSocial program and partnership.

About #WinAtSocial

#WinAtSocial is the world’s first educational game that empowers students, parents, and educators to navigate social media and technology in positive, high character ways. This gamified and student-led approach to social media education was co-created by The Social Institute with over 50,000 students at 60 schools nationwide. Students use devices (desktops, laptops, tablets, or smartphones) to play during Homeroom, Advisory, or Health Class, and Trainers (Advisors or Teachers) host and facilitate the game. While students play at school, all parents and staff receive real-time updated tools in the Resource Portal.
